Many people have told us that they can breathe easier after switching to Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil. The odorless formula is so much nicer than the smelly “deoderized” kerosene of most regular valve oils. No more “trumpet taste!” And no cover-up scents are needed.
Ultra-Pure products do not react with metals or cause corrosion. And there is no build-up of oil or gumming as can happen with some products. No silicones are used in any of our formulations.
Many music stores have told us that they provide a bottle of Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil with every rental instrument, since the non-toxic formula is safer for kids and since the oil seems to wear the valves so much less.
Even though Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil is considered to be quite harmless, there are some safety tips you might like to know.
Some people might find that if they get a lot of Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil on their skin, it can be slightly irritating. If your skin is sensitive, just wash with soapy water to remove the oil.
All light oils can be harmful if you inhale them strongly into your lungs since the oil can coat your lung cells and make it hard to breathe. The only way this can happen is if you were to swallow a lot of oil and then vomit. This is why the Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil label says “if swallowed, do not induce vomiting”. Children under five are the most at risk, so keep those little ones out of your case!
The mist sprayer meets all child-resistant packaging regulations published in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 16, Part 1700, and is ideal for households with small children. Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil is also available in a dropper tip package for those who prefer the classic dropper tip and who do not have children under five. This bottle is labeled "Package not Child-Resistant" per labeling requirements.
If swallowed, Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil will most likely have a laxative effect. Just to be safe, call your doctor if a lot of oil is swallowed.
